The Mist Jacket - Fall 2024
Project Goal: Design, draft, and sew a waterproof technical outerwear jacket for a designated sport/activity.
Jacket Components
The final jacket consists of an articulated sleeve, adjustable cuffs, two front pockets, an inner phone pocket and a removable hood. The hemline and hood both contain shock cord and toggles for adjustment in fit. All seams are sealed making this light hiking jacket fully waterproof.
Body Fabric: Dintex Mesh Back
Face: 94% Polyester, 6% Spandex
Back: 100% Polyester

Final Pattern
The Mist Jacket’s pattern was digitally drafted in Optitex. To create the front pocket and inner phone pocket cutout, the pattern pieces were cut using a laser cutter like in the image below.
